South Sydney officials believe that Crowe has been exploring options to offload his 25 per cent stake in the Rabbitohs.

Crowe has been seeking interest from potential buyers in the United States and Australia, according to media reports.

South Sydney, who are also part-owned by billionaires Mike Cannon-Brookes and James Packer, has been aware of the situation for at least two months.
