WASHINGTON โ The debut trailer for first lady Melania Trump’s upcoming documentary was released on Wednesday.ย
“MELANIA” is set to hit theaters on Jan. 30, 2026.ย
The trailer opens with the then-incomingย first lady in the U.S. Capitol rotunda ahead of her husband’s second inauguration. During the clip, she turns to the camera and says: “Here we go again.”ย
The documentary trailer invites viewers to “witness history in the making.”ย
The 104-minute film is set to offer an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes lookโ at the 20 days of Melania Trump’s life leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025. It’s directed by Brett Ratner and being distributed by Amazon Prime Video.ย
“Everyone wants to know, so here it is,” Melania says in a voice over during the trailer.ย
The trailer ends with Melania calling “Mr. President” to say “congratulations.”ย
“Did you watch it?” President Trump can be heard saying on the phone.ย
“I did not. Yeah, I will see it on the news,” Melania Trump replies.ย
Amazon MGM Studios reportedly paid $40 million to get exclusive licensing rights for a streaming and theatrical release of the documentary.ย
The film also marks the first project that Ratner has directed since he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women, including actor Olivia Munn, in the early days of the #MeToo reckoning in November 2017. Ratner, whose lawyer denied the allegations, directed the โRush Hourโ film series, as well as โRed Dragonโ and โโX-Men: The Last Stand.โ
