CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein will highlight North Carolina’s skiing industry during a trip to Blowing Rock on Friday, his office announced.
“For more than 60 years, North Carolina has been recognized as ‘Winter Capital of the South,’ offering the highest-elevation skiing in the eastern United States and welcoming thousands of visitors annually,” Stein’s office said in a press release.
Stein is scheduled to deliver remarks at Appalachian Ski Mountain in conjunction with the Winter Olympics. Stein is also scheduled to make appearances at Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain this weekend as part of the tour.
