Former VP Harris’ Charlotte stop comes just days after she hinted at another presidential campaign in 2028.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Just days after saying she’s thinking about another run for the White House, former Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Charlotte to promote her new book.
Her new book, “107 Days,” focuses on Harris’ presidential campaign, which began when former President Joe Biden abruptly dropped out of the 2024 race. Harris was originally scheduled to stop in Charlotte in February, but several tour dates in the Carolinas were postponed due to winter weather. The former vice president is scheduled to take the stage at Ovens Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Harris’ Charlotte stop comes less than a week after she revealed she’s “thinking about” another presidential campaign in 2028. Harris was asked if she’d ever consider running again at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) convention in New York on April 10.
“Listen, I might. I might. I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about it, Harris replied. “I know what the job is. I know what it requires…”
It’s not the first time Harris has hinted at giving it another shot. During an interview with the BBC last October, Harris declared she was “not done” with public service.
