Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder and convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Friday, 21 August warned of an escalation in Jaipur, saying he would sit on a dharna if repair work at a government school in Jaipur district did not begin and those accused of attacking a CJP team were not arrested within 48 hours.
The warning came after CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and other activists were allegedly confronted by locals when they attempted to visit a primary school in Rampura-Kanwarpura village.
Dipke alleged that Ranka and his team were attacked because they were trying to expose the condition of the school, which he described as a “buffalo shed” where children were being taught. “I will go to Jaipur if the school repair work doesn’t begin and the BJP goons are not arrested within the next 48 hours,” Dipke said in a video message. He also called on supporters to join him if the demands were not met.
Ranka separately alleged that the attackers were “goons summoned by the BJP”. The allegations could not be independently verified.
