Giants captain Toby Greene has decided to join Geelong, ending his 15-year career with the expansion club.
The unrestricted free agent will accept a three-year deal to play alongside his former teammate Jeremy Cameron at the Cats.
Departing Giants CEO Dave Matthews revealed Greeneโs decision on SEN on Thursday morning.
โToby Greene will move back to Victoria for family reasons and head to Geelong,โ Matthews said.
Greene has two scheduled speaking engagements in Geelong during grand final week. He will appear at local watering hole The Sporting Globe on Tuesday night and alongside former Cats captain Cameron Ling and former Carlton coach and Lions legend Michael Voss at the Geelong conference centre on Thursday as part of the Geelong Amateur Football Clubโs sportsmanโs lunch.
More to come.
