MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. โ Mecklenburg County residents have until Friday to complete a survey that will help shape the county’s budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026.ย
The survey, available at Budget.MeckNC.gov, allows residents to express their priorities and opinions on the funding of various services and programs.
The survey is a critical tool for the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners and other county leaders as they work to develop a budget that reflects the community’s needs and preferences.ย
“The survey takes minutes to complete and allows residents to indicate their priorities, how they feel about the level of funding for services, and what they feel are the communityโs greatest needs,” the press release states.
In addition to the survey, residents will have other opportunities to provide input on the budget. County Manager Dena R. Diorio is scheduled to present her budget recommendation on May 15, followed by a public hearing on May 22. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to adopt the final budget on June 3. All meetings will be streamed live on Meck TV at Watch.MeckNC.gov.
Residents can learn more about the budget process and participate in the survey by visiting the budget website. This is a valuable opportunity for Mecklenburg County residents to have their voices heard and influence the allocation of their tax dollars.
