Before we get into it, Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds lifted the lid this week on an approach to play under Willie Peters at Hull KR last year as he was sorting out his future. Reynolds knocked back a $1.5 million, two-year deal from the Tigers but briefly considered this morning’s opponents as well.
“I have a great relationship with Willie so if I ever was to come to the Super League it probably would have been under him,” said Reynolds, who will retire at the end of 2026.

“I always talk to Will on the side and check in to see how things are going…
“There was a little bit of thought [of joining Hull KR] there, but I have four kids at home and a wife and they are at a stage now where it’s pretty hard to uproot them again.
“We had a big move from Sydney to Brisbane already so if I was to come, it would have been on my own unfortunately, and that’s too hard for me with how I am with my family.
“It could have been a funny story, representing Hull KR against the Broncos, but it’s not to be.”
