Melbourne Park is looking remarkably quiet compared with recent mornings. Probably something to do with todayโs ridiculously high temperatures.
But there are a few spectators around who are happy to push through the heat.

Friends Juline Pierredon and Charlotte Merigot are from France, but currently studying in Melbourne.
They bought ground-pass tickets for today because they were cheapest (they will set you back $35). They were shocked to see that the 45โ forecast.
Merigot said theyโve prepared by bringing plenty of water, wearing lots of sunscreen, and purchasing two new hats from the AO Store.
โWe were already worrying that we feel so hot right now. So I guess weโre going to try and find some place in the shade,โ she said.
But both friends are in high spirits, and are looking forward to a day at the tennis despite the heat. Even though there arenโt any French players left in either singles draw โ theyโve adopted a new favourite.
โWe are going to go with Alex De Minaur. Because, you know, you have to support Australian people in Australia,โ Merigot said.
