Fraser McReight has been confirmed as the Queensland Reds skipper for the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign, replacing halfback Tate McDermott and the departing Liam Wright in what will be coach Les Kissโ final season before he takes the national reins.
Standout flanker McReight has been lauded as a long-term captaincy candidate in Wallabies colours.

โThis role is a huge honour and even more so because I follow some great mates and leaders into the role, having watched Tate and Liam do a terrific job,โ said McReight, who became the Wallabiesโ 91st captain during a Rugby Championship clash with South Africa.
โThey showed me the path over the past four seasons, and hopefully Iโll now land on my path as a captain with all Iโve learnt about myself as a person and as a player.โ
