RALEIGH, N.C. โ Josh Stein has moved his inauguration online due to the expected winter weather.ย
The new governor’s address will be held on Saturday at 11am.
Stein was officially sworn in as North Carolina’s 76th governor on Jan. 1, replacing Roy Cooper as the state’s top executive.ย
“I know that your passion for helping people burns bright and you have the smarts, the integrity and the grit to serve them well,” Cooper said. “This job is about leadership, and you, Gov. Stein, are a strong and effective leader. I will sleep well tonight knowing that I am your constituent and you are my governor.”ย
