
CHARLOTTE, N.C. โ The National Association of Letter Carriers of Charlotte and Greensboro rallied to advocate for better wages, fair contracts and protection of the United States Postal Service in south Charlotte.ย
The “Fight Like Hell!” rallies were a nationwide day of action to draw attention to the everyday threats that thousands of postal workers face on the job and to demand fair contracts to combat staffing shortages.ย
Letter carriers gathered along Park Road, holding signs that said, “1st class service, 1st class pay,” “Fair contract now!” and “Fight like hell!”ย
The NALC is a labor union representing non-rural letter carriers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands and Guam. Letter carriers deliver 376 million pieces of mail every day, according to the NALC.ย
