
Military vehicles from across the country arrive in Washington ahead of Saturday parade.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. โ Military vehicles began arriving in West Potomac Park in Washington on Wednesday as preparations ramp up for Saturdayโs parade marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. The event, which also coincides with President Trumpโs 79th birthday, will feature a large-scale display of military strength and pageantry in the heart of the nationโs capital.
Soldiers were seen actively preparing the equipment for the upcoming march through Washingtonโs streets. Among the vehicles staged for the celebration are the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank, the M2 Bradley fighting vehicle, the M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer, and the Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle.
In addition to the armored vehicles, more than 50 helicopters are expected to participate, along with approximately 7,000 soldiers.ย
Some of the vehicles traveled hundreds of miles to Washington. On Monday, a CSX Transportation train carrying military equipment was spotted in Monroe, North Carolina. The train, which featured the railroad’s Honoring Our Veterans engine, was spotted by Travis Mackey Photography.


The parade is projected to cost around $45 million.
