CHARLOTTE, N.C. โ North Carolina election results will be delayed in Tuesday’s primary election due to issues in one county.
The North Carolina State Board of Elections announced that reporting will be delayed until 8:30 p.m. across the state because an electronic issue caused issues at polling locations in Halifax County, which is located in the northeastern part of the state.
Polls close everywhere else in the state at 7:30 p.m., however, election results can not be released while voting is still taking place somewhere in the state.
State officials said it is not uncommon for minor issues to occur on election day.ย
