Proteomics International Laboratories has appointed seasoned healthcare and medtech executive David Morris as CEO and managing director to spearhead the commercial rollout of its Promarker diagnostics suite.
Morris steps into the role with a strong track record in the industry, including executive leadership at Cochlear, Nanosonics, Polynovo and Monash IVF.

The company says, in particular, that he brings proven expertise in driving commercial growth, international expansion, product commercialisation and building high-performing teams – skills well-suited to accelerating the companyโs Promarker precision diagnostics pipeline across key markets.
His appointment comes hot on the heels of last yearโs announcement that the companyโs US Reference Laboratory in Irvine, California, has secured accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

The accreditation for testing clinical samples is recognised for its rigorous and robust standards and is widely considered the gold standard for laboratory quality in the United States.
The esteemed accreditation adds to the labโs existing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification and California State Licence, further strengthening the companyโs regulatory credentials.
It will also support the commercial rollout of Proteomicsโ non-invasive PromarkerEso and PromarkerEndo diagnostic tests for esophageal cancer and endometriosis, respectively.
