Good morning, football fans!
Itโs here. Finally. Probably the biggest match any Australian coach has overseen, ever, anywhere. Ange Postecoglouโs Tottenham Hotspur against Ruben Amorimโs Manchester United in the Europa League final at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
Kick-off is at 5am, and weโll be here to bring you live updates throughout, and all the fallout from this momentous occasion.
Iโm Vince Rugari and I have to say, I didnโt sleep well. How could I? This is simply gigantic, a night (or morning for us) which could be a legacy-defining one for Postecoglou and, by extension, Australian football. Spurs play in the Premier League one last time this weekend, so this wonโt be his last game in charge – but will it be his second-last? I donโt know. Nobody really knows. Surely, if they win here, it wonโt be.
Iโm joined on the tools this morning by Penry Buckley, a long-time Spurs fan who is with his tribe at the Surry Hills Hotel, where the OzSpurs crew will be watching along – and heโll chime in with regular updates from the pub and a bit of colour.
