AFL goal-kicking great Warwick Capper has been whacked with a five-year ban from attending league games over his alleged inappropriate behaviour in an MCG corporate suite at last yearโs grand final.
The high-flying former Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions star attended the showpiece season-ending AFL match, a showdown between his two former clubs.

Capperโs lengthy ban was widely reported on Tuesday, amid allegations the 62-year-old was heavily intoxicated and used derogatory language towards MCG staff.
The AFL confirmed on Tuesday night that 124-gamer Capper was issued with a โbanning noticeโ.
Capperโs manager Tony Marks told News Corp that a five-year ban โstinksโ and the majority of people in the suite would have known Capper โwas being the joking Warwick Capper, an entertainerโ.

โWeโve known about that outcome for a while and somehow eight months to the day itโs in the press,โ Marks said.
โNo doubt thereโs a few inappropriate things said in the caricature that is Warwick Capper and playing the class clown.โ
โHe knows he needs to pull his socks up with some of his jokes, but under no circumstances would he want anyone to be offended. He was making a joke, and it was overheard and offence was taken.โ
