Itโs a big day for Cameron Green, as the 27-year-old tries to heed Pat Cumminsโ advice about getting out of his own way and letting his talent bloom.
Green has been off-limits to the media since his confrontation with our own Tom Decent at a Sheffield Shield game last summer, but he has spoken to Cricket Australia about the incident and what fuelled it.
โI think it was potentially me at my witโs end, and the journalist probably at his witโs end as well,โ Green said.
โSo it was just completely bad timing from both parts. It had been a long few months, weโd just come off not a great World Cup, and I was just about to go off to India for two-and-a-half months as well, so I knew that was coming up โฆ there was a lot happening at the time.
โIt certainly wasnโt a big moment, and probably was a reflection of how I was feeling at the time. Obviously, itโs not something I want to happen ever again, but at the same time, it didnโt really faze me at all.โ
Hopefully, Green plays things a little differently should he get a century this week.
