Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Wallabiesโ clash with Japan in Townsville.
My name is Iain Payten and I will be steering the blog through the afternoon. We also have the Unstoppable Ulsterman Jonny Drennan on deck, and heโll be offering insights and producing the match report later on. Kick off is at 3.15pm.
The conditions are perfect for rugby at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, which is a venue the Wallabies love playing at. Who can forget last yearโs post-siren win over the Pumas, after skipper Harry Wilson pointed to the corner for a win-or-nothing result.
Last weekโs clash ended in a 35-32 win for the Wallabies, in Les Kissโ first game in charge.
It was hot and humid and the Wallabies played with 14 men for 20 minutes, so getting a win was a solid outcome.
But they also played poorly, with far too much loose attack.
Kiss and Eddie Jones have both made changes this week, the latter with 11 changes overall, and an almost all-new forward pack.
Has he made too many changes? Will the Wallabies struggle again in Townsville. We will find out.
Who do you think will get the chocolates?
