MINNEAPOLIS โ Reports of another shootingย involving federal law enforcement agents in Minneapolis were being investigated Saturday morning.ย
The city shared a post on X saying officials were aware of reports about a shooting in the area of 26th Street West and Nicollet Avenue.ย
“We are working to confirm additional details,” the post stated. “We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.”ย
Preliminary reports suggest that the incident happened around 9 a.m. Central.ย
Unverified video circulating online appeared to show the moments leading up to the alleged shooting. Officials from the city of Minneapolis and Department of Homeland Security did not immediately comment on the validity or accuracy of the video.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz shared a post on Xย stating that he had spoken with the White House about the shooting Saturday.ย
“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” Walz wrote.ย
Walz called on President Donald Trump to end the operation and to immediately remove the federal immigrations agents out of the state.ย
Tensions in the city have skyrocketed following the fatal shooting of Minneapolis resident Renee Good earlier this month by an ICE agent.ย
Good’s death led to nationwide protests and calls for an investigation into the agent who shot her.ย
