Race 1
2. My Country Boy had been racing well with a resuming third at Newcastle and a fourth at Kembla Grange before breaking through with a last start win at this track. He enjoyed a good run and hit the line well in that event and will need a little luck from the awkward alley this time. 4. Savoonga is also coming into this on the back of a last start win at this track and there’s no reason she can’t show up again. 7. Northern Eagle dominated from the front to score at Tamworth two starts ago and followed it up with a close-up fourth at Moree. 3. Smichov went down narrowly when a last start second at Bathurst.

Race 2
4. Phoenician Star is a Too Darn Hot mare making her debut and she has had two recent Warwick Farm trials in preparation. She has drawn wide but should find the line well after being given time to settle early. 1. Borderfall had one start late last year when finishing second at Scone and resumes from a spell in this after two trials including a win in the latest at Warwick Farm. A bold showing is on the cards. 3. Ole Lizzy is a well-bred mare on debut after two recent trials and warrants respect from a top stable. 8. Lady Capitalist is first-up after two trials and can improve on what she’s shown in two starts.

Race 3
11. Anthropoid had solid form in his first four starts despite being unplaced in each of them. He resumed at Kembla Grange with a fourth placing when racing well and he gets his chance to break through. 12. Golden Goddess made her debut with a midfield finish at Canterbury and should be better for that run. She shouldn’t be taken lightly. 6. What A Gent has been placed in eight of his 20 starts and can get into the minor money again. 9. Crispy Leaves is resuming and was placed at this track before the spell.

Race 4
11. Movie Star is a Maurice filly in debut for Chris Waller. She’s been readied for this with a couple of trials and looks set to run well. 2. Duloc failed to beat a runner home in debut at Mornington but resumes here after a second in a Rosehill trial and can improve. 10. Hello G’Day debuts and has shown enough in trials to be rated a chance, while stablemate 13. Secrets Within is also on debut and won a recent Warwick Farm trial.

Race 5
4. Charleroi has been tackling city grade races in three starts since resuming from a spell. He will find this an easier assignment and can bounce back to beat form. 5. Stakeholder was a Kembla Grange winner when resuming and was midfield at Rosehill following that. 7. Lady Pankhurst had had two recent trials and has the talent at best to give this a shake. 1. Debello has been down on form but could take running down on best form.
How to play it: Charleroi WIN.
Race 6
2. Just Glamourous is a talented mare that is fresh for this having finished a last start second at Randwick when going down narrowly. She had been racing well before that and was a Warwick Farm winner in April. This looks well within her capabilities. 6. Mrs Maree has a handy record with three wins and as many placings from nine starts and comes here on the back of two straight victories at Warwick Farm. She should be thereabouts again. 7. Raskol fought on well to score a last start Canterbury win and has the talent to be prominent. 3. Couples Retreat is a last start Rosehill placegetter that has claims.
How to play it: Just Glamourous WIN.
Race 7
6. Mo Chroi is an import that did the job well on his Australian debut when scoring a Canterbury win. He was since down the track at Rosehill before a midfield effort at the same track last time out. The small field here suits and he can take running down. 1. Anythink Goes has been racing well and scored at Rosehill in good style three starts ago. His two subsequent city runs have been sound and he looms as hardest to beat. 4. Captain Fenkel was a Canterbury winner before finishing fifth at Rosehill when last produced and he’s racing well enough to be given consideration. 5. Visualise has a couple of recent Tamworth placings and could get into the minor money.

Race 8
13. Bring Me Chocolate had trialled well before making her debut at Muswellbrook and doing the job well to score a strong win. She should be even better for that experience and has drawn ideally in gate one. 11. Fleet Flyer went to the front at this track when resuming and gave nothing else a chance when scoring with ease. A wide draw this time makes things a little trickier. 4. Remember Jack is first-up from a spell and has solid form for a race like this and bears close watching. 7. Difensivo was a winner two starts ago and can lift on a last start failure.
How to play it: Bring Me Chocolate WIN.
Best Bets: Race 6 (2) Just Glamourous.
Race 8 (13) Bring Me Chocolate.
Best Value: Race 2 (4) Phoenician Star.
